Dec. 8: Today's events 

Here's what's going on today (Saturday, Dec. 8): Thunderbolt comes alive with the all-day, all-night Yuletide Jam, outdoors at Tubby's. Starting at noon, the lineup includes von Grey, the Eric Culberson Band, Junkyard Angel, Wormsleow and a veritable host of others. The Tybee Island Christmas Parade kicks off at 1 p.m. England's romantic Christmas comedy Love Actually screens at the Lucas Theatre at 7 p.m. The Collective Face's Salome is at Muse Arts Warehouse at 8 p.m. (today's 3 p.m. matinee has been canceled); AWOL's A Christmas Carol lights up the Henry Street S.P.A.C.E. at 8 p.m. Moira Nelligan & the Dixie Jigs play their annual Celtic Christmas show at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (8 p.m.). In the clubs: Wood & Steel at the Guitar Bar, Ceschi with Knife and Miggs at the Wormhole, the Royal Noise and Dark Water Rising at Live Wire, while the Train Wrecks rock the Warehouse.
