In the exhibition Ensō at Sicky Nar Nar Gallery, Sami Lee Woolhiser presents a site specific and interactive installation. Sami strives to create interactions that contribute to the aesthetic and holistic experience of the world. Imagery reflected in the forms, texture and stains are reminiscent of landscape and the figure. Ensō symbolizes enlightenment, strength, elegance and the void that stems from Japanese ink painting where one fluid stroke connects with its end. This is the essence she aspires to capture for the audience as they experience the work that is complimented by an interactive sound component by Kevin Lee Jr.
