Climb aboard the 43-foot trawler R/V Sea Dawg for a memorable scientific collecting trip. Participants sample the benthic communities found in tidal rivers and sounds, then identify, sort, count and record species, environmental and positional data. Discussions include the natural history, diversity and ecological/commercial significance of findings.
Check in is at 8:30 a.m. at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium. The boat will leave the dock at 9 a.m. and returns at noon. Participants will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing for the duration of the trip.
