SEPTEMBER

10th Annual Fall Frolic— Join the Savannah Tree Foundation for the annual celebration of trees, featuring live music from Connellis, open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, museum tours, and trees (of course). $75. Savannah Jazz Festival – A week of incredible music under the stars in Forsyth Park, at the Lucas Theatre and Mansion on Forsyth, and Ships of the Sea Museum, with jam sessions at Rancho Alegre restaurant. Free and open to public. Sept. 23-29.

Oktoberfest at Two Tides— Two Tides will turn Desoto Street into a biergarten and host an Oktoberfest with live music. Sat., Sep. 29, noon. Two Tides Brewing Company, 12 West 41st St.

OCTOBER

Tybee Island Pirate Fest— Turn yourself into a pirate and spend the weekend on Tybee. There are lots of activities for families, loads of entertainment and a Thieves Market filled with treasure. Free. Oct. 4-7. tybeeisland.com/pirates. Tybee Island, Tybee Island.

Fall Street Fair— The Street Fair returns during First Fridays in Starland with over 10 artist vendors, a food truck and live music and art, fun for the whole family. Free and open to the public. Fri., Oct. 5, 6 p.m. sulfurstudios.org. Sulfur Studios, 2301 Bull St.

Oktoberfest— Enjoy German brews and cuisine, wiener dog races, stein races, arts and crafts, and football. Free. Oct. 5-7. River Street, River St.

Savannah Brunch Festival— The area’s best establishments will create brunch inspired bites while guests indulge and enjoy beer, Korbel Mimosas and Bloody Marys from our spirit sponsors. $15. Sat., Oct. 6, 11 a.m. Hutchinson Island, Hutchinson Island.

Picnic in the Park – Pack a picnic and join the Savannah Philharmonic in Forsyth Park on Sunday evening, Oct. 7, for a rousing evening of music. Free and open to the public.

68th Annual Savannah Greek Festival— The annual festival will feature homemade Greek foods, Greek desserts, Greek dancing, Greek music, church tours, market place, and much more during the three-day celebration of Greek food, music and heritage. Peacock Party— The theme of this annual soiree is Moonlight in the Garden. Event highlights include live music, a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres and libations. All proceeds support Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home in Savannah. Flannery-inspired attire is optional, but always encouraged. $100 per person; $85 if purchased before Sept. 30. Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon— The popular annual run features a marathon, half marathon, 5k, 1 mile, and a relay. The headliner of the free concert in Forsyth Park is Michael Franti and Spearhead. Nov. 3-4. runrocknroll.com.
