This film documents the deployment of a platoon of U.S. soldiers in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan. Focusing on a remote 15-man outpost, “Restrepo,” which was considered one of the most dangerous postings in the Military, directors Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington present a surreal combination of back-breaking labor and camaraderie as the soldiers painfully push back the Taliban.
