Hear beautiful music created by two sisters at Prohibition.

Twins Aiman and Sholpan were raised in Kazakhstan and started violin training when they were seven years old. They studied at Kurmangazy Kaakh National Conservatory and earned first chair violin positions with the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Kazakhstan. When they weren’t touring with the Orchestra, the sisters played as a duo, even performing for their country’s president.

As FreeSpirits, they perform with percussionist Butch Braddy, making unusual and eclectic sounds. Listeners will hear everything from Irish jigs to Radiohead to Mexican mariachi to traditional music from Kazakhstan.
