I might be wrong, but I thought we had some capable opera singers here in Savannah, or at least somewhere closer than England. No offense intended, I saw Miss Evans perform on Friday evening, and she did a fine job, but I imagine the Phil could have saved some money by hiring a singer closer to home. Maybe if they did, tickets wouldn't be so expensive. I paid $55, and was disappointed with the set. The costumes and wigs could have also been much better.
