Melissa Holden grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She left California to pursue a degree in fine arts from the University of Colorado. Melissa focused on printmaking, mostly intaglio and woodcuts, and found she has an affinity for the medium. Melissa moved back to the Bay Area to teach visual art to children for many years. She now
runs her small business making and selling block prints and screen prints. All her work embraces a minimalist aesthetic of clean, bold shapes and lines, and high contrast. Everything is completely produced by Melissa from start to finish using top of the line materials.
