January 28: Today's events

Here's what's going on today (Saturday, Jan. 28): The Psychotronic Film Festival closes out with a triple whammy at Muse Arts Warehouse: Small Town Murder Songs (an acclaimed American drama from 2011) at 2 p.m., the documentary Machete Maidens Unleashed at 5, and the hilariously awful melodrama The Room at 8. At the Lucas Theatre, it's the American Traditions Finals concert (8 p.m.); An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein is at Bay Street Theatre, and Seussical The Musical continues at the Savannah Children's Theatre. Jucifer's at the Jinx, Wormsleow and Listen 2 Three share a bill at Live Wire, A Nickel Bag of Funk plays Tantra, and the Wormhole wants you to dance the night away with Roland, NovaKord and We Roll Like Madmen.

Theatre can build a sense of community—not only within the organization, but also within the very city in which it’s being produced. Lives can literally be changed through the power of storytelling.
