Our city is being run by complete jacklegs. The people expressed their outrage and you dont listen?? Then you are not a council of the people. I wonder who's palms got greased by the meter companies themselves!? That is waaayyy toooo much $ money spent on new meters when the older ones are still functioning. Maybe everyone but Van.
They have sold the soul of this little city years ago to hotels and developers. We lived downtown for almost a decade, while it was nice for awhile it became INSANE, we moved to Whitemarsh and are loving it. Downtown without the locals is not Savannah. The ugly hotels and big box buildings are slowly choking off the very life which made Savannah so cool to visit!! Shameful what the leaders have done for some quick room tax revenues. The hotels provide very little quality paying jobs and I know many locals who avoid downtown all together.
