Ok, the people of Savannah need to be schooled on the subject of POOL HALLS. A "pool hall" is not a place to drink which seems to be the only criteria in this town. A true pool hall is filled with students of the game and tables that cover the wide field of disciplines. In Savannah there is only one TRUE pool hall and that's Southside Billiards. Southside is not a room where the only game played is 8 ball. The true players in this town play one-pocket, snooker and three-cushion. "Best Pool Hall" should embrace the qualities that real pool players require not just a bar. Southside fulfills every true pool players needs to become proficient at all billiard disciplines.
A policeman twice the size of a drunk citizen is not in any danger. St Pats day is a big celebration here in Savannah and officers know that one day out of the year will be more stressful than others. If this officer cracked due to the pressure then that alone is why he shouldn't be an officer of the law. I understand that it is the position of the writer and paper to take a balanced approach on such issues. Lets face the truth.....the action was unwarranted...the action was malicious and most unprofessional. I would be willing to bet that there are more officers out there, like the one witnessed in this video, than we all would like to admit. The bigger question here is what have we all learned from this video? I saw alot of drunk people that day that were polite, happy and sharing in the mood and festivities of the day. I would guess that the majority of people were in this frame of mind. So for one person who could not handle their liquor that day police brutality was not the answer.
