Indie label Furious Hooves has announced that it will be accepting submissions for an all-local cassette compilation, Stay Rad Vol. 2.

2013’s Stay Rad Vol. 1 included work by locals mumbledust, former Savannahnian Hallucinex, and other Furious Hooves artists like Bedroom and Man Eating Sloth.

Interested Savannah musicians should submit one song between thirty seconds and four minutes in length to [email protected]. Note that material submitted will be exclusive to Stay Rad Vol. 2—new songs, or unreleased/alternate versions of previously recorded songs are welcome. Contributors are encouraged to send their .wav files by April 2015.

Co-founded by Savannah’s Ryan McCardle and TJ Hatcher of New River Valley, Virginia, Furious Hooves is committed to releasing limited edition, handmade pressings with a DIY mentality and aesthetic. They’re already off to a big year in 2015: not only will the label have a showcase at Savannah Stopover Festival, but they’ll also be releasing Stopover artist Heavenly Beat’s latest, Eucharist, on Valentine’s Day.
