Pedro Rivera, Ph.D., associate professor of history, will lead a discussion and screening of Forced and Forceful: The African Presence in Latin America, 1502-1619. The film is part of the Black in Latin America documentary series, the latest production from renowned Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr., writer and presenter of acclaimed PBS programs.
