Lecture: Kemba Smith

Armstrong State University’s Department of Criminal Justice, Social and Political Science will host a free lecture by domestic abuse survivor and motivational speaker Kemba Smith as part of the #SayHerName Visiting Scholars Program. After receiving clemency from President Clinton in 2000 for a felony drug charge related to an abusive and drug dealing boyfriend, Smith is now an advocate and public speaker on the topics of domestic abuse, drug sentencing, women and incarceration, felony disenfranchisement and re-entry.
