I have been pedaling to work and everywhere else since I donated my car to the Goodwill in 2008. The car was costing too much to maintain. Savannah has too many roads that have no berm or sidewalk, like Skidaway between Derenne and Eisenhower, which is part of my route to and from work. The only other way that I could get to work would include using Harry Truman Parkway. I have mentioned to my supervisor to send someone looking on Skidaway for an automobile/bicycle accident if I ever do not show up for work.
