The omega-3 discussion is ridiculous. True, grass-fed beef is higher than grain-fed beef (which, incidently, spend about 70% of their life on grass). Beef from grass-fed (grass-finished) cattle have about 0.052 grams of omega-3 fatty acid per 3 oz serving compared to 0.039 grams in grain fed. BUT, NO beef is a good dietary source of omega-3. You would have to eat about 12 lbs of grass fed beef each day to achieve the recommended daily allowance! So, want omega-3s? Eat salmon. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and go enjoy a good corn-fed steak.
