25 MILLION STITCHES: A PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT ART INSTALLATION Local stitchers have been gathering at Friendship Cafe on Wilmington Island to work on the upcoming exhibit “On the Line” featuring embroidered panels they created in recognition of the global refugee crisis. Their work will be exhibited in the Cafe beginning February 13 when you can meet the stitchers between 10am and 1pm. The panels will be hung on a clothesline in Friendship Cafe from February 13 through March 11. From there the panels will go to Sacramento, CA where they will be included in the global #25millionstitches art installation
