Ya'll need to check out Tondee's Tavern....BEST LUNCH SANDWICHES around, right up there with SoHo and Green Truck, and Butter heads, not all vegetarian, but an amazing new edition to downtown....lunch and dinner...seafood, steaks, ribs and RIBS!!!!...crab legs as well...a lot of items not on the menu but coming soon to print!!! Tondee's opened in January and took over the old Tony Roma's spot. It is Family owned and the service is so welcoming and gracious. ICE COLD BEER. IF only they had been open a lil longer, votes for BEST NEW Restaurant would be in order....well see what Savannah Magazine has to say....and how they are doing in 2014! CHECK IT OUT tho, definitely worth it!!!!!! ALSO- we all know about the haunted buildings and "ghosts" in Savannah...but THIS place, ask your server about the history and the 16 ghosts that reside downstairs where the slave cages and tunnels were. Crazy cool stuff!
Congrats to FOXY LOXY!!!!...one of my fav coffee shop...every day, there or the bean....horechotta ??? lattes and green brain powder...ohhh n bbq tofu wrap, FOOD at bean, and FOXY both earn points!!! but also disappointed that Butterheads was not awarded. as well as betty bombers....for late night! come on people!!!! I agree, Green Truck is amazing and I eat there ALOT....but some of that love could have been shared.
