Remembering Ancestors and Healing Day

The bell of Faith Chapel will toll as part of the Healing Day National Bell Ringing, an action to remember and honor the first enslaved Africans who landed in English North America in 1619. Faith Chapel will join churches around the country tolling their bells at 3 p.m. A historical interpreter will also be present at the Wanderer Memory Trail at St. Andrews Beach Park from 3-4 p.m. This educational experience tells the story of the slave ship, the Wanderer.
