Pianist Alexander Agate truly is a “rising star,” having just won second prize at the March 2022 American International Paderewski Piano Competition in Los Angeles! His program for The Arts at Messiah will include works of Bach, Granados, Liszt, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin. Previously, he reached the semi-final stages at the 2020 Chopin National Competition and the 2021 Suzhou Jinji Lake International Piano Competition, and won the top prize at both the 2017 Manhattan School of Music Balsam Duo Competition and the Manhattan School of Music Munz Chopin Competition.
