A documentary based on the investigative research of Dr. Perry Brickman of Atlanta who, along with his Jewish classmates, suffered an abnormally high rate of failure for dental students at Emory. Later it was discovered that actions taken against the Jewish students from 1948 – 1961 pointed to a culture of anti-Semitism endorsed by the Dean of the Dental School. Dr. Brickman will introduce the film, discuss his research and will lead a post screening discussion panel including Savannah’s Dr. Harold Black and Savannah’s Dr. Bucky Bloom who also attended Emory at the time.
