Soapbox Soliloquy, The Sound Experiment @House of Strut

SOAPBOX Soliloquy is the project of St. Petersburg, Florida artist Jasmine Deja. Deja, who’s played in the bands Selectric and Veiny Hands, draws garage and psychedelic influences together for her sound as Soapbox Soliloquy.

She most recently released an LP, Good Morning Dragonclaw, which was recorded with a seven-piece live band featuring electric guitar, 12-strong acoustic guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and sound effects. To promote the album, the project shared a music video that strings together three of Good Morning Dragonclaw’s songs—“Fire Sale,” “Father’s Funeral,” and “You’re Two Stone Dad”—into a nine-minute video.

Savannah’s own seven-piece jazz/blues/funk/rock/prog fusion group The Sound Experiment joins the bill.
