Phone: 912-233-4709

Presented by the Friends of Cathedral Music, this liturgical concert will be sung by the Cathedral Choir and a quintet of guest musicians and will feature Gregorian Chant and Gregorio Allegri's "Miserere." After Allegri composed the mysterious “Miserere” in the 1630s, it became illegal for the music to be performed outside of the Sistine Chapel. Legend has it that Mozart heard it there as a 14-year-old, then wrote it down from memory and made the piece more widely heard. It was eventually published in 1771.
