• A man and woman asked her cousin if they could use the phone in her Yamacraw Street apartment. The cousin let the woman in, but told the man he would have to stay outside. The man continued to try to converse with the woman he had arrived with, but “she told him she wasn’t interested.” This enraged the man, who “burst into the apartment and smashed the phone to the floor.” He then began attacking the woman. He “pushed her to the floor and put his knee on her chest.” He stopped when the cousin pushed him off. The man and woman left together, but the cousin says he has called her several times and threatened to harm her and her baby if she calls the police.

• A Titus Court couple got into a verbal argument. The man became frustrated and damaged the woman’s property before he left. She told police the man “poured water onto and into two televisions sets, smashed a cell phone, broke a bottle of perfume and ransacked her bedroom.” The woman told police “she is pregnant with the man’s child.” She said she wanted to have him arrested, so she was advised on warrant procedures. She also was advised “to unplug the televisions to eliminate the possibility of fire.”

• An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Henry Street. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver to exit. The driver “immediately stumbled and was unsteady on his feet.” His speech was slurred and the officer observed the odor of alcohol on his person. The man was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. The man agreed to submit to a breathalyzer test and his blood alcohol was well above the limit.

• Police were called to Hitch Village on a complaint of a disorderly person. A woman told an officer that she was approached by her ex-boyfriend, who asked if she would go have a beer with him. She said “no, they had nothing to talk about and she asked the man to leave.” He left, but returned later and “asked to be allowed inside the house with her and a friend to drink.” When the woman said no again, the man “pushed an air conditioner inside the house, causing the bracket to fall off.”
