• An Abercorn Street business owner discovered that a haulage trailer had been stolen from the business’s parking lot. He told police the trailer was equipped with a trailer hitch lock and a cable lock through the wheels. The trailer was last seen about midnight the night before it was taken. The name of the business is painted on the trailer in large silver letters.


• Police were called to a Bull Street residence by a neighbor who heard the burglar alarm go off. The neighbor told police he knew the resident was not at home. An officer checked the inside of the house and discovered that someone had attempted to make entrance at three windows and also had attempted to pry open a door. Another neighbor reported seeing three men run from the scene after the alarm went off.


• A man who had put some out-going mail in his mailbox heard a noise and looked out the peephole in his front door. He opened the door and saw a man walking away with his outgoing mail. A lookout was posted for the suspect.


• A woman told police someone stole from her purse at the Chatham County Health Department on Drayton Street. The woman said she put her purse in a seat while she used the restroom. When she returned, she found that a $70 money order, $150 in cash, an ID and a Social Security card were missing. She did not call police to make a report until after she returned home. There were no witnesses or suspects.
