The Humanity in Cinderella's Story

Savannah VOICE Festival’s (SVF) latest initiative, “Virtually Live,” will offer online audiences a way to experience live music during this time of social distancing. The beloved fairytale of Cinderella is often thought to be about the promise of true love and the fitting of a glass slipper; but perhaps it is more than that. Here we take a deeper look into the story of the fairy tale through Rossini’s La Cenerentola and find a deeper meaning in the music and romance.
