Re: “A modest proposal re: Home-sharing

Metaphore Reminds me of an old joke punchline: I have tried both and there is NO COMPARISONS.
Thanks for an explanation of the vast difference between STVR and HOME SHARING. Almost three years ago the TRIMBLE AMMENDMENT, was presented to city authorities, another name for HOME SHARING: owner occupied ONE UNIT ! I have encountered too many people in our leadership who can not understand the the vast difference between them. We have always welcomed friends, relatives, scholars, religious leaders, visiting musicians and others to our home. Yes! On a regular basis. We became avid users of AIRBNB and decided to become hosts. AIRBNB vettes our NEW FRIENDS extremely well. Are we now to expect a government authority to investigate and decide who are appropriate visitors to our home. Should all homeowners be subject to that privacy invasion. A city official told me that accepting any kind of remuneration from overnight visitors is against the law. DO NOT ACCEPT THAT BOTTLE OF WINE FROM GRANDMA! Yes rediculous. The local authorities have suggested that Couchsurfing, and VACATION HOME SWAPPING is FORBIDDEN in Savannah. We need the TRIMBLE AMMENDMENT/ HOME SHARING in Savannah!
