Max ("The Mad") Cannon a Johnny Carson-like has been has lost everything but still lives to make people laugh. Some ten years later we find Max still doing stand-up gripping his patented stiff cocktail as he soon takes a new comer under his wing. Jake Starling (Jon Brandi aka the Funny) is down and out. He's lost his job, his girlfriend, and now he has to find a way to raise five thousand dollars to save his mother from losing her house.
