they would rather hire out of state workers anyway - it has to do with the location of the union offices and their callback rules.
    (you must certainly know this)

Extortion plain and simple - they will do it again and again - look beyond the current issue - accept their demands & they will relish the victory - just beware of the next time they want their way - the tactics are obvious - we control you !

From the movie " Ants " - " It's not about food - it's about keeping the ants in line".

This garden on West Hall St. is welcoming - it invites you to slow down and take in the classical lines of the seemingly French Creole home graced wih a faded pink stucco patina. Woody took pride and put constant labor into his charming garden.

Gripped lovingly by vines and hearty vegitation the home peeks through as though veiled in a mocking & gamely fashion " see me if you can " it beckons.

The home is from a Mr. Gilbert long before Mr. Ray Ellis .
I have often wondered and I asked Woody - is it the English name or perhaps a French name with the silent "T" like Guilbert ?
With a nod towards nearby Barnard St. named for a local French Engineer it seems reasonable to consider the French, we agreed.

My wife Maureen was discussing with Woody whether to plant vegtables or pretty blooming plants at our home, near his, on Hall St.
His quick reply was to go for the beauty and buy the produce.

I submit that he preferred his life as such -
He certainly lived that way -
Woody found and shared beauty in his art.
    RIP
