According to the co-owners, they have invested over $150,000 into that little shack to make it a real restaurant, as well as enhance the city property; that investment was not taken into account on the flawed matrix. In addition, there is some question whether the other bidders actually have an "eatery" or just a "drinkery" with a referral for food sent to Spanky's next door. Hopefully, all these little details will be ironed out over the next few weeks. One thing this has done is unite the factions on Tybee Island....conservatives, liberals, and moderates have joined together to keep the North Beach Grill they know and love. Let's see if the Mayor and City Council are listening.
