Americana, rock 'n’ roll, and vintage soul collide in the sound of Urban Soil. The Raleigh-based band, helmed by soul-shaking frontwoman Sarah Reinke, layers vocals, guitar, washboard, bass, violin, mandolin, and percussion into a rich tapestry of sound.

In 2016, Urban Soil released their third album, Sounds from the Underground. With tasteful instrumentation, breezy tempos, and Reinke’s vocal delivery—both deeply powerful and velvety—fans of jam, folk, and rock will find something to love in the band’s live show.

The band will play two sets on Friday at Social.

Friday, January 5, 9 p.m., free, 21+
