Zydeco Summer Party with Chubby Carrier @Tybee Post Theater

IT'S TIME to zyde-go nuts on the dance floor this weekend! Lovers of zydeco, the Louisiana-native musical style that blends accordion, and guitar for high-energy fun, usually have to wait 'til Savannah Music Festival to get their fix.

Chubby Carrier grew up in the zydeco tradition, learning from his father and grandfather. At just 12 years old, he learned accordion and joined his father’s band as an accordionist and drummer.

Carrier has recorded ten CDs with his Bayou Swamp Band, taking home the Grammy for Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album in 2010.

Sunday, August 14, doors at 7:30 p.m., show at 8 p.m., $25 reserved seating
