The Gallery reception — The Gallery at 802 Bay St. will hold a reception as part of the Fall Art Walk on Sat. Oct. 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., where over 50 local, regional and national artists will be showcased.

Newton Center reception — SCADs Earle W. Newton Center for British-American Studies presents a fall exhibition reception, Wednesday, Oct. 20, 5-7:30 p.m., at the Newton Center, 227 MLK Jr. Blvd. free and open to the public. The reception presents three new exhibitions: The Creators: English Artists, Architects and Writers of the 17th19th Centuries; Focus on Political Satire: The Hogarth Election Series; and The Illustrated Mark Twain.
