Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that was reported on September 17.
At about 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a local hospital in reference to a shooting victim.
Jaheim Morris, 16, succumbed to his injuries after arriving at the hospital by private vehicle.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation. Investigators do not believe this to be a random shooting.
