EVIL WOMAN: ELO TRIBUTE SHOW @ VICTORY NORTH

Electric Light Orchestra lit up the Top 10 for the first time in 1974, doing the job nine more times by 1981. A total of 20 singles made the top 40, and 50 million records were sold. Why? Good question. No band came close to their engaging blend of Beatles pop with orchestral strings and grandeur. ELO made unique pop music sophisticated for the 70s, and their amazing list of greatest hits is too long for one show. So EW is playing two. (separate set lists not guaranteed)

FAUVELY + MAJIK DUST @ EL ROCKO

After a 1-2-3 punch of energetic indie rock from Majik Dust, Dustin Price, and Tim Thompson with Mass Formation, settle in for a set of pretty, haunting music to close it out. Fauvley’s dream pop is gauzy and serene, with passages of rock and soul to liven it up at the right time. Her record shows a maturity beyond experience, carried by raw talent to a satisfying finish line.
