The Savannah Clovers Football Club today announced a special midweek, $5 exhibition match against the Jax Lions FC from Jacksonville Florida. This match will give members of the community a chance to experience a Savannah Clovers soccer match for $5.

Jax Lion’s FC is a semi-professional soccer club based out of Jacksonville Florida and are the current NEFSL Champions. This will be the first time the two clubs will face each other and will serve as an introduction for the clubs to potentially face each other in future matches. The game will be held this Thursday, July 27th at Memorial Stadium at 7 PM and will only cost $5, Season ticket holders will be able to enter the match for free. “We are excited to be able to host a special $5 exhibition match,” said Chief Community Officer Brian Sykes. “We hope the entrance fee at this price point will encourage some members of our community that have yet to attend a Savannah Clovers match to come and experience what we are all about.”

“We are looking forward to this midweek match so we can give our guys a much-needed break this weekend,” said head coach David Proctor. “This exhibition match will give an opportunity to some of our guys returning from injury and an opportunity to gain some valuable minutes of game time before our away match against Chattanooga FC.”
