Chris Middleton wins Superior Court judicial seat

After thanking his friends and supporters on hand for a watch party Tuesday night, Chris Middleton said he is now “ready to go to work.”

He defeated Frank Pennington II in a highly anticipated race that more than 26,000 people voted in as part of the Georgia General Primary and Nonpartisan Elections held on May 21.

Middleton will be replacing the Honorable Judge Penny Haas Freesemann, who is set to retire as Eastern Judicial Circuit Judge of Superior Court after serving on the bench since 1993.
