Massie Heritage Center to acquire model ship exhibit

Posted By on Thu, Jul 24, 2014 at 11:18 AM

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System and The Savannah College of Art and Design are working together to develop the Greco Model Ships exhibit at Massie Heritage Center.

M. Gerard Greco was a former Civil Engineer originally from New Jersey who retired to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and pursued his passion for model ship building until his death in 2012.

Eighteen of his ships, ranging in dates from the 9th century all the way into the 20th century, will make up the core attraction.
