Cora Ennis Morris’s ‘What Lies Beneath’ debuts at Cedar House

Photo-encaustic artistic Cora Ennis Morris found her inspiration behind her latest series of works, “What Lies Beneath,” at Cedar House Gallery from the documentary “Chasing Coral” that she saw at the Savannah College of Art and Design Film Festival in 2017. From that moment, she realized the vital role that reef systems play in our ecosystem and felt compelled to create this collection of art to bring attention to the decline in coral reefs globally.

Savannah Stage Company presents PAY WHAT YOU CAN Camp

Savannah Stage Company will be offering their annual week of improv camp from June 14-18 for one week focusing on saying yes, following their impulses, and storytelling. This year SSC is offering a brand new special musical theatre camp from June 21-25. Kids’ 3rd-10th grade are going to be learning the foundations of improv and music theatre while building their bravery, expanding their imaginations, and growing their self-confidence.

Location Gallery hosts Savannopoly Art Fundraiser

Location Gallery at Austin Hill Realty will host an experiential monopoly-inspired art exhibit featuring thirty local artists from Savannah called Savannopoly. Opening Friday, April 23 from 6–8 p.m. at their newly relocated space in the heart of downtown Savannah at 251 Bull St. Profits raised from this event will benefit the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.

After six years, Sulfur Studios announces a new non-profit in Savannah called ARTS Southeast. Their mission is to make Savannah a destination for art and culture in the Southeast by supporting established and emerging artists and engaging a diverse community with creative programming by developing awareness and appreciation of the arts.
