Savannah African Art Museum hosts workshop to prepare kids for school

The Savannah African Art Museum will be using African traditions of storytelling in an interactive workshop with children and their parents on Saturday August 14th. The program, “What’s On Your Mind?” is the second in a two-part series that uses visual arts, poetry and movement to capture what the child participants have been feeling throughout the pandemic as they return to school.

Transport to Irish Coast

Tybee Post Theater is host to a bevy of entertainment options as they reemerge from the confines of COVID. Legendary Harry O’Donoghue takes the stage on Aug. 14 to perform traditional Irish Folksongs with the energetic accompaniment of Molly Elizabeth Gibson. Special guests Caitlin Frasure and Vito Gutilla provide melodies meant to transport you to the rainy Irish Coast.

Tips for finding your style

So often, budget guides our style when it should really be the other way around. Finding your style first lets you budget and feel good in what you wear. You have some who just buy what they need, others who just buy according to what’s going on, others who borrow and others who are lost in the sauce. But I know my readers are interested in how we can amplify the style they already have without spending thousands of dollars a month, or having to splurge for a specific occasion. So, I’ll start with giving you all my definition of style, and my opinion on where it stands in 2021. Then, we’ll tackle some ways to get that closet together – Let’s get into it.
