During the third annual Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum (SEGA) around 400 emerging and established leaders were brought together for for a two-day event at the Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees’ Garden. The forum presented a lineup of several speakers with differing areas of expertise to engage in discussions about leadership, excellence, personal potential and community impact.
The speakers included Bruce Feiler, Malcolm Mitchell, Stephanie Stuckey, Anna Chafin, Bruce McCabe, Leonte Benton, Kim Greene, and Bruce Mehlman. New this year was the addition community tours that took attendees to a variety of sights across Savannah. The tours included K-12 education, higher education and workforce development, arts and culture, affordable housing and homelessness, economic development and the I-16 corridor, as well as a ports and logistics tour.
Throughout the event, three individuals were recognized for their leadership including Catherine Grant, recipient of the Emerging Leader Award, and Edna Jackson and Robert Jepson, both of whom received a Legacy Leadership Award.
