A man who returned to a Quacco Road repair shop to pick up his car found that the owner of the shop had moved and taken his vehicle and a $1,300 cash deposit with him. The man told police the owner had left no forwarding address. A lookout was placed on the missing vehicle.
After her son was sent home early for being disobedient at school, a woman advised police that she attempted to discipline him with a belt on his backside. She told police her son has had behavior problems at school in the past, and that he had been violent with a neighbors child and dangerously irresponsible when using the stove. She said he kept deflecting the blows so she called police. The son told police he knows he has a problem controlling his anger.
A man sitting in a work truck on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was injured when a passing car blew antifreeze into his open window. The officer who responded observed antifreeze on the vehicle. Blisters began forming on the victims face, so he was taken to a hospital.
A woman reported that a man was trying to slash the tires of her car, which was parked at 37th and Florance streets. An officer met the victim, who pointed out the suspect, who was sitting in his car. The officer approached the suspect with caution and said he needed to know where the knife was. A 6-inch blade was located in the glove box.
