Every third weekend of the month, Unity in the Community celebrates the arts, crafts, and entertainment in Rousakis Plaza. From reggae to Motown, you never know what you might hear.
Local makers and musicians shine at this special event created for and by the community. There’s even line dancing!
Juneteenth on River will be held June 15-17, and a big Back to School celebration is planned for July 20-22. In the thick of summer, it’s hard to beat the Cool Down Summer Music Fest.

It’s a packed night of emo-punk, pop-rock, and indie at Sulfur Studios.
Back in 2015, Atlanta’s Blis. released the EP ‘Starting Fires In My Parents House,’ featuring the song “Savannah,” and played an in-store show at Graveface Records. Now, the band is capturing fans far beyond their home state, thanks to a deal with Sargent House Records (Russian Circles, Chelsea Wolfe, Deafheaven).
Puddle Splasher dishes out New Jersey power-pop a la Superchunk and Pixies.Fellow Atlantans King of Summer are familiar faces in Savannah and always put on a great show, and Statesboro’s Birdperson pulls the heartstrings of Modern Baseball and Wonder Years fans.

Keller Williams is a returning favorite. With a looping station and incredible chops, he demonstrates how a guitarist can accomplish a full sound all by themselves. Keller often performs in breweries and bars, but now everyone can enjoy his performance—particularly budding guitarists.

Savannah Waterfront 4th of July Celebration on River Street

Celebrate Independence Day and have an outing for the whole family. When River Street pays tribute to the red, white, and blue, it’s done with song, art, food, and hands-on activities. The festival features several stages brimming with rock, blues, singer-songwriter, and country acts, to be announced soon.
The entire 4th of July Celebration experience is free—and ends in a picturesque fireworks finale.
84: A Van Halen Tribute at Coach's Corner

There are plenty of tribute bands out there, but Atlanta-based 84 stands out with 15-year-old Stratton James on lead guitar. Since their formation, the group has been selling out venues in their hometown and is actively booking around the region. Listen for classics from the years 1978-1984 and watch James melt faces as Eddie Van Halen.

Members of Savannah’s favorite bluegrass band alternate solo gigs on a monthly basis for Acoustic Tuesday: City Hotel Solo Sessions (next up is June 19).
Clouds and Satellites performs a stripped-down set on June 26 and July 24, and Charlotte-based indie/soul/electro-pop musician Lionnir mixes it up on July 10.

Savannah Music Festival favorite Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors return for the Goodbye Road Tour. The band just released an EP of songs recorded with tour mates JOHNNYSWIM and Penny and Sparrow—a release that even includes a “very personal version” of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.”
