The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting at the intersection of Georgia Ave. and Mississippi Ave.

“At 10:55 p.m. on Friday May 5, 2017, SCMPD responded to a report of two men who had been shot at the intersection of Georgia Ave. and Mississippi Ave. One male was deceased at the scene, the second was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” police say.

There is no suspect description at this time. The shooting does not appear to be random. The investigation is ongoing.
