A reception to introduce the candidates for the position of Chief of Police of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department will be held by the City of Savannah & Chatham County on Wednesday, September 24, 5-6 p.m. on the 2nd Floor Mezzanine, Savannah Civic Center 301 West Oglethorpe Avenue.
They are:
Joseph Lumpkin, Athens/Clarke County police chief since 1997, just retired
Ralph Evangelous, current chief of Wilmington NC police since 2004
William Heim, Reading, PA, chief since 2006
