Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) School of Film and Acting proudly presents "Little Shop of Horrors"


Experience the magic of theater as the Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) School of Film and Acting proudly presents "Little Shop of Horrors" at the historic Lucas Theatre for the Arts, running from May 23 to May 26.

“People in Savannah should come see it because where else can you laugh your butt off while you scream in terror of a massive eldritch horror come to life?! It is an amazing show with professional-level lighting, costumes, sets, and performances - right in their backyard! If the spectacle alone doesn’t sell them, then let the hard work of some of SCAD’s best and brightest," said SCAD sophomore Drake Aasen, majoring in acting, plays the role of Seymour Krelborn, one of the main characters.

Prepare to embark on a hilarious and darkly delightful journey of love, ambition, and carnivorous flora as Seymour, a struggling florist, stumbles upon a peculiar plant with an insatiable appetite for human flesh.

Prices are $5 for SCAD card holders, $15 for seniors, military, and other students, and $20 for the general public. SCAD Card holders can enjoy free admission on Thursday, May 23. For additional details, visit www.lucastheatre.com.

A Night of Laughter and Goodbye: Waiting for Guffman will Screen as the Savannah Repertory Exits its Broughton Location

The Friends of the Bradley Theater is partnering with Savannah Rep to screen the hilarious comedy “Waiting for Guffman,” featuring Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, and Christopher Guest. This event, held at the Savannah Rep’s space at 402 E. Broughton Street, promises to be a night of laughter as this is one of the great comedies of the 1990’s. But, it is also one of goodbye as this will be the last time that Savannah Rep will be in that space for an event.

"This event is both a farewell and a look forward to the future of the Arts in Savannah. The Rep hopes to continue our collaboration with The Bradley Theater to bring artistic opportunities and community events to our city. 'Waiting for Guffman' is the perfect way to celebrate our past

and embrace the joy that lies ahead, as it explores themes of dreams, aspirations, and the pursuit of artistic fulfillment," shared Producing Artistic Director Natasha Drena.

Savannah Rep will be actively seeking a new space for the 2025-2026 season, taking the pulse of their patrons' needs and desires to find a perfect long-term home.  This event is open to the public, and tickets can be reserved HERE

Savannah Children’s Theater presents of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”


Take a trip under the sea with the Savannah Children’s Theater presentation of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” opening May 17 and running through June 2. “Savannah Live” at the Savannah Theater

Head over to the historic Savannah Theater for ‘Savannah Live’. ‘Savannah Live’ is a high-energy 2 hour variety show that features everything from “Pop” to “Broadway” and “Motown to “Rock & Roll.” Featuring a rockin’ live band and singers and dancers, it is sure to be the most fun that you have in Savannah. “Blood, Actually” Comedy + Murder Mystery Show at Front Porch Improv


Front Porch Improv is keeping busy these next two weekends. Checkout a variety of improv shows on May 24, 25, 31, and 1.
