Jonathan Vasata
Jonathan Vasata was born on Long Island, New York and graduated from Islip High School. He holds undergraduate degrees in both Fine Art and Advertising Design from Western Carolina University and the Fashion Institute of Technology respectively. In 2018, he received his M.F.A. in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design where he worked as a Graduate Mentor and as Chief Photographer for the student newspaper. Prior to moving to Savannah, he spent nearly 20-years in the publishing industry working for Hearst Magazines, Hachette Filipacchi Media, and finally Time Inc. where he worked as a Media Solutions Engineer for publications such as Time Magazine and People Weekly. He enjoys art history, writing and photography, yet spends much of his spare time with his son, Ryan, swimming in the ocean, or learning about theoretical physics and cosmology. His favorite authors are Roger Penrose, Donald D. Hoffman and Richard P. Feynman.
