Tim Rutherford
Tim Rutherford grew up in rural Kentucky – then left home to pursue more than three decades as a photojournalist and newsman. A ground-breaking meal in New Orleans in 1979 set him on a path exploring food and wine. Six years ago he changed career paths – now spending his time writing about the people and places that make food and wine special. In his spare time, he teaches cooking and consults in the food and beverage industry on food safety (ProActive Control Systems), menu development and event marketing. He is a columnist for Connect Savannah, The Bluffton Sun and contributes regularly to magazines ranging from Food Network magazine to Delta Sky. His weekly e-mail newsletter, Savannahfoodie Tastings, circulates weekly to nearly 5,000 subscribers. Tim is available as an after-dinner speaker, cooking class demonstrator or to simply help with your next wine pairing.
