It’s that time once again to publish your votes in this year’s annual Best of Savannah awards contest!
Through April 6, you voted directly for the people, places, businesses, nonprofits, artists, galleries, bars, shops, and restaurants that you think are the best in town at what they do.
At Connect Savannah, it’s all about your voice and who you’d like to see win.

Best caterer Paul kenady
Best fitness center:
The Hub Savannah!
Best yoga:
The Hub Savannah!
Best Pilates:
The Hub Savannah!
Best non profit: Girls Who Code Savannah
Best electrician – Joyner Electric and Security
This has got to be the BIGGEST Bullshit list I have ever seen. This so-called “Best Of” is nothing more than a popularity contest with NO merit whatsoever. As long as you have enough friends (in or out of town) you will win despite how terrible the company/experience/performance really is. A great example would be the group Collective Face….no one in this town does theatrical quality productions like they do and Cabaret won? That is the biggest fucking joke on the planet and so is this BEST OF list. NO VALUE WHATSOEVER.
I thought this was the Best of Savannah. How did businesses outside of the city even get counted(unless it was a pooler category)……, do better at checking the validity of the votes. I have been an avid Connect reader for years, but when you do not do your readers justice by reporting correct facts for you customers, you loose out business. Many of these businesses do not even have licenses. What a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can the best restaurant in Pooler be infamous for a video of a live rat sitting behind its bar? The video was only recently removed from Twitter.
Folks, our Best of Savannah awards are purely reader’s choice! They vote, we count. That simple.
@Jim Morekis – Well then it’s entirely disingenuous. For a magazine that has a pulse of Savannah you do yourself a discredit by doing it in this format.
@SamFink – Mr. Sam as a past member of the Collective Face its nice that you think highly of the productions. Let me assure you that the work done by Savannah Stage Company (Cabaret) was top-notch in our books and the honor earned by them as Best Of is very valid. As Mr Morekis mentioned people vote….they count the vote….they mention the winner. Lastly, let me just say that if you think life should be fair well then let me be the first to tell you its not and it never will be. As the Buddha says…”Life is Pain”. Lastly, congratulations to all who received the BEST OF honor this year. To Wesley Pridgen (BEST ACTOR) CONGRATULATIONS Sir….I stand in your shadow LOL.
Best Local Liberal? Really?
Sam, we have a 20-year track record of reader popularity with this issue, so the format seems to work just fine.
Thanks for the info. I am so interested in the Best of Savannah 2019 and looking forward for 2020 nominees. I’m also going to have a vacation there and currently choosing from the list of hotels in Savannah GA at https://www.visitsavannah.com. I hope that my friends and I enjoy the trip.
