Welcome to the Best of Savannah, 2022!
We asked you to crown your favorites. You answered in record numbers. And now, we are proud to welcome you to the 2022 Best Of Savannah issue. Weโve got your top choices for Savannahโs BEST in every category. Best local book? Got it. Best local band? Got it. Best bar? Got it. Weโve even got the cityโs best selections for lesser-known categories you probably wouldnโt have even thought of, like best axe throwing and cutest couple.
Yep, weโve got those too.
So, we invite you to peruse these pages to see the very BEST our great Hostess City has to offer. Youโre sure to see some of your faves, while learning about other local businesses, people and places you may have yet to acquaint yourself with. So relax, take a seat, have some sweet tea โ or maybe something stiffer, you can get it to-go after all โ and read through this yearโs Best of Savannah winners. We hope you enjoy it!
PUBLISHER’S NOTE:
Most of you know the drill by now. But for those who donโt, hereโs the deal:
The winners are the ones who get the most votes from our readers. And keep an eye on the finalists, as they often win the following year.
As in the past, readers voted on their favorites in seven main categories:
Food and Restaurants
Nightlife and Drink
Music and Culture
Recreation, Health, and Beauty
City Life
Shopping and Services
Media
I would personally like to thank everyone involved in this yearโs publication.
Christopher Sweat, Creative Director, who did the majority of the work you see on the page. Iโm not sure what we would have done without his efforts.
Alex Arango, Community Journalist, and Chantel Britton, Multimedia Journalist, keep us up to date in the content world. Youโll find their words all through the publication.
McKennah Drury, Graphic Designer, with a vision and artistic talent that few possess: she went above and beyond to make this edition a visual success.
Our amazing sales team of Bucky Bryant, Lauren Wolverton, and Jamie Burton. They are always up for a challenge and will meet and exceed any goal you throw in front of them.
Logan Hinton, our Regional Digital Sales Director made sure we offer the best digital product in the market.
The distribution is done by the one-and-only Mayor of The Original Pinkie Masters, Wayne Franklin.
Our Office Manager Wendy Wickham takes on every task, and no question ever goes unanswered. Wendy keeps all of us in line.
We have some awesome contributors that pitched in to make this a special edition too.
Marley Gibson wrote several features. and Adriana Iris Boatwrightโonce againโprovided us with her masterful photographic eye.
We also thank Jeannie Paddison and the Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center for allowing us access to โEddie,โ as he was the best cover model to work with!
Thanks also to Charles H. Morris and everyone at the Kehoe Iron Works at Trusteesโ Garden for hosting the awards ceremony this year on June 2!
We hope you enjoy the issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together. We appreciate everyone who voted. And now itโs time to celebrate!
Cheers!
